Our story
We are Mircea Nicoară and Alexandra Postolache-Nicoară, husband and wife and founders of UP: Yoga and liberting arts studio. After more than 11 years of intensely practicing yoga and different types of liberating practices, we decided on January 15th 2024 to open up a space where we can share all the methods that have really brought something worthwhile in our lives.
We are on a mission to challenge you, thrill you, and most importantly help you feel a new sense of freedom within you from the first class.
We are the first
no-phone policy studio
Welcome to our oasis of calm and presence!
At our yoga studio, we’re all about helping you truly disconnect, leave your worries at the door, and focus on what brought you here—your practice. That’s why we’re the only studio in Bucharest with a no-phone policy. Yup, you read that right!
As soon as you step in, it’s time to unplug. We kindly ask you to leave your phone to the side until you exit the studio, giving yourself the gift of a precious time free of distractions. As you prepare for the class in the dressing room and wait to enter the practice space, choose consciously to just be with yourself, relax, breathe deeper, or even stretch if you feel —after all, yoga is your moment to connect with yourself, not your screen.
Thank you for embracing this little digital detox with us. Your peace of mind will thank you later!
